We are the reading
recovery teachers at MacGregor Primary School. Our names are Mrs
Purkis and Mrs Longton.
We work every morning
from 9:00 to 11:30 in the SEU building, where we help children
with their reading and writing.
We have a lot of fun
reading many exciting and new books and writing different stories
every day. Please come and say hello to us and share one of your
favourite books.
At
MacGregor Primary we have 2 support teachers (Ms Burgess and Mrs
Lai) who work with children who need support with Literacy and
Numeracy in years 2-6 and Mrs Edwards who works with Year 7s.
We
attend classes and usually work with children on the same topic
as the rest of the class. Sometimes selected programs are run
to cater for students' particular needs.
All
children who receive additional support make gains in many areas
across the school and often gain recognition as Star Workers,
Star Writers or MacGregor Stars.
Welcome to 1K. We are
learning about nursery rhymes, letters and numbers. We love listening
to stories and reading, reading, reading.
We join other classes
to do art, music and PE - these are all great fun!
