1980s

In this decade there were three main types of fashion: the Princess Di look: a frilly blouse with ruffled collar, blazer, pleated skirt or knickerbockers (knee-length pants). This was also worn with a Princess Di fringe.

There was also the severe working woman look consisting of tailored broad-shouldered suit with a tie.

The last look was the "ragged look", ripped, blotchy fabric and jagged hemline. Some girls dyed their shaggy styled hair bright colours to look 'cool'.
