Summer dresses in floral fabrics with fitted tops and full skirts were a hit too. To make the full skirts stick out wide petticoats with nylon net, wiring or rope was used. Easy wear nylon was used in some dresses. Evening dresses were full-length ball gowns. And for winter, suits were extremely popular. Later it was tight pants, with long bulky jumpers and stilettos shoes. Throughout this decade women wore white blouses with wide skirts and high heel shoes to dances.
